Privacy Policy
Your data, your rules.
Last updated: September 22, 2026
The short version: your financial records belong to you. We use them only to run Expense Trackee, we never sell them, and you can export or delete them at any time.
1. What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Expense Trackee handles your information across everything we run: the Android app, the web dashboard at app.expensetrackee.com, the WhatsApp assistant, and the website at expensetrackee.com. It applies whenever you create an account or use any of these services. Expense Trackee is based in Pakistan, and you can reach us anytime at support@expensetrackee.com.
2. Information you give us
When you sign up, we ask for your name and email address so we can create and secure your account. The rest is the financial data you choose to record: transactions, wallets, budgets, savings goals, subscriptions, invoices, and payees. You create this data so the app can work for you — we treat it as yours, not ours.
3. Receipts & AI processing
When you scan a receipt in the app or share a photo to it, the image is processed with an AI vision service to extract the amount, merchant, date, and category. Nothing is saved automatically — you always review and confirm the extracted details before a transaction is created.
Receipts are used only to create your expense records.
Your receipt photos are not used for anything beyond extracting the details of your own expenses.
4. WhatsApp assistant
If you message our WhatsApp assistant, we process what you send in order to create the expense records you ask for. Keep in mind that WhatsApp itself is operated by Meta, and your use of WhatsApp is subject to Meta’s own terms and privacy policy, which we don’t control.
5. How we use your data
We use your data to run the service: keeping your account working, syncing your records across your devices, sending the reminders and notifications you choose to enable, and enforcing the limits of your plan. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising. That is the whole list.
6. Data retention & deletion
You can export your data at any time, and deleting it never needs an email: open the Expense Trackee app, go to Account → Data & Privacy, and choose Delete transactions to remove specific records or Delete my account to remove everything. Records you bulk-delete are held in a 30-day “Recently deleted” archive so a mistake can be undone; after 30 days they are permanently removed. Account deletion has the same 30-day grace period, and signing in again during that time cancels it. When the grace period ends, your account and every record attached to it are permanently erased from our servers — transactions, wallets, budgets, goals, subscriptions, invoices, clients, projects, your WhatsApp link, and any receipt or profile photos you uploaded. Nothing is kept afterwards.
How to delete your Expense Trackee account
1. Open the app and go to Account → Data & Privacy. 2. Tap “Delete my account” and confirm. 3. Your account is scheduled for deletion and permanently erased after 30 days; signing in before then cancels it. Cannot open the app? Email support@expensetrackee.com from your account’s email address and we will delete it for you.
7. Security
Your data is encrypted in transit between your devices and our servers, and our infrastructure is access-controlled so only the systems that need your data can reach it. No online service can promise perfect security, but we treat your financial records with the care they deserve.
8. Your rights
You can access, export, correct, or delete your data whenever you like — most of it directly from the app or the web dashboard. For anything you cannot do yourself, email us and we will handle it for you.
Access · Export · Correct · Delete
These four rights are always yours. One email to support@expensetrackee.com is enough to exercise any of them.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the update on this page and revise the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change meaningfully affects how your data is handled, we will also let you know inside the app before it takes effect.
